Embracing Inclusion: Eligibility Criteria
At Cassie's Place, we believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. Our eligibility criteria ensure that participants receive the support they need while fostering independence and empowerment.
Summer Program Eligibility:
Individuals 16 years and older living with a Developmental Disability are invited to join our enriching summer program. In addition to age requirements, participants must also be ambulatory, able to feed themselves, and use the bathroom independently.
Day Program Eligibility:
Our Day Program is open to individuals 18 years and older, providing a supportive environment for personal growth and development. To participate, individuals should be ambulatory, capable of feeding themselves, and managing bathroom needs without assistance.
Criteria for Participation:
- Independence with Support: Participants should be able to engage in activities with support, promoting independence while receiving assistance as needed. We empower individuals to develop essential skills while fostering a sense of autonomy.
Guided Assistance:
While independence is encouraged, occasional prompts or reminders may be necessary to ensure participants stay focused and engaged. Our staff is committed to providing gentle guidance and support to facilitate a productive and enriching experience.
Effective Communication:
Clear communication of wants and needs is vital in creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all. We prioritize effective communication to ensure that every participant feels heard, valued, and understood.
